He followed his youngest son to Babe Ruth baseball where he continued to coach for several more years. He played many years of church softball and also coached his 3 sons on the Senator's Little league baseball team along with his friend Neil Burtis. Buddy was an avid sports enthusiast and played baseball and basketball through high school, and then 2 years of junior college basketball. After official retirement from ADS, Buddy took a job in the mail room at the First Financial Bank for whom he worked a further 10 years. He had various jobs after the Navy, including local substitute teaching, Frigidaire, Monsanto, and finally Hamilton Molded Products, now known as ADS, from which he retired.
